Brig-Ayd Controls are the UK's leading manufacture and supplier of Wheelchair lifts, Hand controls, Steering knobs, Throttle and Brake controls, Clutch systems, and other Driving aids for disabled drivers and passengers, Brig-Ayd Controls have specialised in car adaptations for the disabled since 1975 generating more than thirty years experience. We offer a wide range of equipment to allow disabled people to use almost any make or model of vehicle. Our equipment is manufactured at Brig-Ayd Controls in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire and is made to the highest engineering standard. Safety and reliability are the major factors influencing the design and fitting of our equipment, so giving years of trouble free service to our customers. It was in the late 1950's that Peter Briggs, Owen's father first adapted a car to meet the needs of a disabled driver. His wife, who had contracted polio, had bought a new Mini.
